Pakistan and India - friendship? I would rather not thank you very much because what the so called moderate and peaceful thinkers do not realise or rather have not read is history we have fought 3 conventional wars and many more battles in various formats. The idea of suggesting friendship between such bitter enemies is rather laughable its much like suggesting Israel and Palestinians be friend or forcing the SS and the allied army to hug each other.
Do not prejudge me I am not a war monger nor a prospective suicidal jihadist however it is pure human nature that expectations rise from the start of friendships and with relations as fragile as indo-pak the last thing you need is expectations unfulfilled as that leads to more problems. The famous excuse of the forced love is we are the same. Yes its true we are the same! and as far as relations go we can be very best of friends on a personal level however as a nation the hatred is built in the genes we still have the generation in both countries who saw the horrors proceeding the partition on both sides, and the off springs and GI (s) of many other wars.
For those whose wit has not pointed it out just yet this blog is not written from an objective neutral but a patriotic Pakistani therefore it is and will be highly biased, the reason why I did not put forward the Indian case? couldn't give a damn!. What we do not realise is that love cannot be created out of thin air the most we can hope for and strive for is neutral relations we don’t have to be lovers but we can be neighbours who admire and hate different things about each other and for the good of society do not interfere in each others matters but help out whenever it is required.
Various so called peace and love talks end up rather laughably. We got the Musharraf Vajpai era and how did it end? media drama and hype for a couple of days then normal services resume. What the Indian media and most public do not realise is our main problem with you is if you had just said We are hell bent on defeating you and wouldn't rest until you are gone from the face of the earth we would respect you much more than we do right now at least we would have had a proud enemy, but when you talk of peace and support terrorists in Baluchistan and the Pakistani Talibans its rather cowardly.
Although being twice our size in area and army you have failed to conquer us thrice in history and are always looking for back door ways, staging Mumbai drama to hope this would be your 9/11 and you will convince the world to target Pakistan next. Yes I did say Mumbai was a drama! my sympathies with the family of the deceased but still I refuse to believe it took India's Finest Commandos that long to tackle 12 teenagers and if they were giving their 100% to the cause of killing the terrorists then I must say your commandos are feeble.
There are many things which I was told as a child and most of them I would now regard as utter nonsense however The typical Indian thinking which we were told of from the childhood is I am afraid as per my experience true. We know two things about your version of peace no matter how sugar coated your talk is your words would always be blow below the belt, and secondly whenever you think the peace is going you start giving subtle hints of how the boundary should fall and we should be one nation. Do you guys realise how ANNOYING these hints are it just shows that no matter how much you pretend you have still not swallowed the pill called Pakistan.
We are a separate and proud nation its been half a century grow out of it and accept we are here and we would rather die than merge! my grandfather might be from undivided India but I am a Pakistani. For argument's sake If we are the same people of the same culture and the boundaries can be dropped would you be willing to rename the united India as Pakistan? whoever says yes is either lying or fooling them selves.
Even the films directed towards the so called peace and love are rather pathetic take for example a bollywood movie named Lahore which I very recently had the misfortune of watching, the trailers suggested a nice light movie however it turned out to be just as same as other peace steps taken by bollywood. Same old nonsense talk of peace and venomous script. take for example the cast of Pakistani kick boxing team it was rather funny how they were all a visibly ugly and villainous lot, what was even funnier was the idea that Pakistani train their kick boxing team (if we have one that is) in an outdoor camp designed uncannily like a terrorist cell. And then the famous line from a Pakistani harlot (no other words to define a girl wearing sleeveless exposing dress but full gunghat of a dupatta) of psychiatrist apologising on behalf of the whole nation for the death of a player by hands of a Pakistani player , err why? the whole nation was not there stoning the poor bloke to death was it? The suggestion that Pakistanis would do anything for a victory and the Pakistani public take sports as war is somewhat funny considering its coming from the same nation where a whole stadium was emptied of the crowd because it could not stand a home defeat from the hands of Pakistan.
Finally the line which made me vent my spleen through this blog, the grand finale was to make the Pakistani minister say the following lines to Indian coach.' finally today you have taken Lahore'. Anyone who has read a bit of Pakistani history would know the plan in ‘65 offence from India was to capture Lahore 'meet you for drinks at Lahore gymkhana' was the tag line and to give these subtle hints in a supposedly Peace movie is not funny, not at all ! Coincidence you say? don’t think so there are many other cities in Pakistan whose name could have been used. so my final word of advise to the Indian nation at large you want brotherly love? Aint nothing happening! your want peace? DROP DUAL STANDARDS AND COME OUT HONEST FOR A CHANGE, HATE US OR LOVE US BUT BE HONEST!
